Now you can access Home Banking through your PDA or cell phone with Internet capabilities. Worried about low balances in your accounts? Home Banking will now allow you to generate reminder alerts on your accounts when your balance drops below a pre-determined amount.

Want to sign up for Home Banking? Look for the link that says "enroll now" and follow the instructions. It's that easy! Already enrolled in Home Banking but are interested in the new features? Your account will automatically be converted to the new system, requiring you to do nothing! So sit back and relax knowing that you can access your account at Penn East FCU from anywhere, anytime.

Bill Pay will also have a new look, as we proudly announce the addition of CheckFree to our online services. This comprehensive, cutting edge program makes viewing and paying your bills online a cinch! Don't forget about E-Statements. Replacing paper statements with electronic versions allows you to reduce the flow of personal information from your mailbox, where paper mail can be a target for theft. When your E-Statement is ready to be viewed, you will receive an email notification to log into your account in Home Banking to retrieve it. Statements are even stored online for 12 months, so you can look up any of the information you need anytime!

Identity Theft Alert!

New Swine Flu Scam
The swine flu headlines have prompted scammers to create a "swine flu" e-mail that they've sent out en masse. One e-mail, for example, contained the subject line "Suspected Mexican flu toll hits 81" and contained several links that led to news reports about the flu. However, the body of the e-mail also contained links asking victims to provide personal information - which in turn was sent to the scammers.

How To Protect Yourself
If you receive an e-mail regarding the swine flu and you are sent to a website asking for personal information, close your web browser immediately. Do not enter your information on the site.

For more tips on protecting yourself against identity theft, visit www.idtheft.gov.
